Our Story
Good Jiu Jiu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club in Moorabbin that offers effective Jiu-jitsu and submission grappling training within a safe and friendly environment suitable for all.
Our classes incorporate aspects of breath-work and yoga for a holistic approach to martial arts. Helping to keep you cool, calm, collected and protected in stressful situations that may have dire consequences. We focus on all aspects of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, including self defense, fitness and Gi and No-gi Sport Jiu-jitsu.
Our goal is simple. To use Jiu-jitsu as a tool to help you build the skills you need to overcome the adversities in life and achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

NELSON LAY
Nelson Lay has been training BJJ since 2007 and is a black belt under Marcelino Freitas. He is an active competitor and has won Victorian, and Pan Pacific competitions whilst progressing through the belt ranks. Nelson is a qualified personal trainer, holds a double degree in Exercise Science and Sport Management with Honours in Exercise Physiology, and has extensive teaching experience through years of tutoring at Deakin University and teaching the art of Jiu-jitsu to students in Australia and overseas. He has a passion for traveling, rock climbing, breathwork and meditation, and hopes to bring a holistic approach to BJJ to his students.
